The staff of Sit n' Stay is Kim and her husband Tom, along with several wonderful pet sitters they have carefully screened. Sit n' Stay is much different than most pet sitting services in that when you hire Sit n' Stay, you are not hiring an individual, you are hiring a company. We take our company seriously, and we hire only the best sitters.

Kim Sauer, CPDT - Owner, Trainer
Kim started this business back in 2002 after leaving the corporate world. She wanted to spend more time with her true love of not only her own pets, but all animals. Of course, as things got busier, she hardly got to see her own pets again! Luckily they are very forgiving!
Having a dog training background, and understanding pets behavior has been a great asset to Kim and her staff. In addition to running the company, she is an active as a dog trainer and enjoys training and working with her rottweiler, Blaze. You can check out the Dog Training page for details.
Kim believes it is very important to be a productive member of the community, so Sit n' Stay takes part in several charity drives and events throughout the year. See the Events page for more information.
Kim says that this business has not left her with much of a personal life, and that she could not have made it this far without the wonderful support of her husband, Tom. When there is time, she loves to travel, scrapbook and just spend time with their dogs. Blaze and Nigel are like her children!

Tom Sauer - Owner
Tom originally thought that this business would be Kim's pet project. Little did he know that just a few months into it, he found himself loving the job! Tom is a natural with all pets and finds that even pets that are typically shy warm up to him immediately. He grew up with cats and dogs, and lived with all sorts of animals such as ferrets, bunnies, and even a tarantula!
Even though Tom currently still has his full time job as a supervisor, Tom loves walking with his clients on a daily basis. When Tom has any free time, he loves to exercise and hang out with his family. When relaxing he likes to hang with his 170 pound mastiff, Nigel, who thinks he's a lap dog! Tom is an avid movie watcher, music lover and sports fanatic! The Sauer household includes Kim and Tom, their two dogs, two cats and a sugar glider.

Victoria Weise - Pet Sitter
Victoria graduated in May 2007 from SUNY New Paltz with a B.A. in
Industrial Organizational Psychology and is currently working in Group
Benefits at a local insurance broker. She wanted to petsit because
while obtaining her college degree she worked at a Bed and Breakfast
that allowed pets to vacation with their owners. She knew that she
would miss being surrounded by these friendly dogs, cats, and even
birds every weekend so petsitting was the next best thing. One day,
hopefully soon, she hopes to get a Newfoundland doggie to call her
own.

In addition she enjoys volunteering her services to help raise money for animals, and you'll see her at many local pet fundraisers. Kelly is continuously educating herself by attending grooming seminars and expo's.
She also loves spending time with her little doggie "Magic" who is 17yrs old! About pet sitting, she says, "The best thing I like about being a pet sitter is getting to meet all the different animals, getting to know their personalities, and forming relationships with them."
Colleen Donovan - Pet Sitter
Colleen graduated from Canisius College in 2004 with a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice and since then has been working full time in an ophthalmology practice. She grew up always having animals in her house. Throughout her life she has lived with a german shepherd, 4 greyhounds, an australian shepherd, 3 guinea pigs and 3 mice. From the age of 4 until she graduared high school she spent lots of time horseback riding, and cleaning stalls for a neighbor. Colleen currently resides in Elma with her spoiled rotten kitty, Austin a.k.a. "Sneaky Boots" and her crazy pit bull, Trouble. Colleen's current pets are from rescue groups and she says "Deciding to adopt them was the best decision I've ever made". She loves to hang out and talk with her cat, who is very vocal and loves to talk back, and also loves to take walks with her dog, but says, "Trouble can be lazy and the walks usually end up being shorter than I planned!". Colleen's first word was "dog" so wanting to work with pets came naturally to her. She quotes, "As long as I can remember I've always felt my happiest when surrounded by animals. I do plan on going back to school part time in January to begin earning a Masters in Psychology".
