Kim started this business back in 2002 after leaving the corporate world. She wanted to spend more time with her true love of not only her own pets, but all animals. Of course, as things got busier, she hardly got to see her own pets again! Luckily they are very forgiving! Having a dog training background, and understanding pets behavior, has been a great asset to Kim and her staff. In addition to running the company, she is an active dog trainer and enjoys training and working with her rottweiler, Blaze. You can check out the Dog Training page for details. Kim believes it is very important to be a productive member of the community, so Sit n' Stay takes part in several charity drives and events throughout the year. See the Events page for more information. Kim says that this business has not left her with much of a personal life, and that she could not have made it this far without the wonderful support of her husband, Tom. When there is time, she loves to travel, scrapbook and just spend time with their dogs. Blaze and Nigel are like her children! |

Tom originally thought that this business would be Kim's pet project. Little did he know that just a few months into it, he found himself loving the job! Tom is a natural with all pets and finds that even pets that are typically shy warm up to him immediately. He grew up with cats and dogs, and lived with all sorts of animals such as ferrets, bunnies, and even a tarantula! Even though Tom currently still has his full time job as a supervisor, Tom loves walking with his clients on a daily basis. When Tom has any free time, he loves to exercise and hang out with his family. When relaxing he likes to hang with his 170 pound mastiff, Nigel, who thinks he's a lap dog! Tom is an avid movie watcher, music lover and sports fanatic! The Sauer household includes Kim and Tom, their two dogs, two cats and a sugar glider. |

Nicole Schiro - Manager & Senior Pet Sitter Nicole has a B.A. in English and did further study in animal behavior at UB. Nicole has been a part of the Sit n' Stay team since October of 2005 and has been a great asset since she joined us. In her free time, she likes to go hiking and camping with her dogs, Katie and Pawsom. Her favorite thing about being a pet sitter is being outside with dogs all day. She also has a penchant for scooping cat litter! |

Lori has a BS in Accounting from Canisius College and has completed the Court Reporting program at Alfred State College. While she wishes she could be a pet sitter full time, she does split her time between court reporting and pet sitting. She loves this job because she enjoys visiting so many different pets. They all have a different personality and she learns something new every day. When she does have free time she enjoys learning everything she can about training, health and nutrition for pets. Victoria W. - Pet Sitter Victoria graduated in May 2007 from SUNY New Paltz with a B.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology and is currently working in Group Benefits at a local insurance broker. She wanted to petsit because while obtaining her college degree she worked at a Bed and Breakfast that allowed pets to vacation with their owners. She knew that she would miss being surrounded by these friendly dogs, cats, and even birds every weekend so petsitting was the next best thing. One day, hopefully soon, she hopes to get a Newfoundland doggie to call her own. |

Julie B. - LVT, Office Staff, Pet Sitter Julie shares her home with Rufus(5yr old Bullmastiff- big one), Mona (9 mo. old French Bulldog) and of course her husband and son. She is a Licensed Vet Tech as well as being part of our Office Staff and a Pet Sitter. She enjoys being a pet sitter because the pets are (almost) always happy to see her when she arrives, and she loves to meet all different types of dogs/cats and help enrich their lives while owners are away. |

Lisa Q. - Pet Sitter "Hi! My name is Lisa and Ive been with Sit n' Stay Pet Services since early 2008. I find this to be the most rewarding job ever! I have always loved animals since I was a child. I was the kid who brought home all kinds of "strays" , much to my parents dismay. I now share my home with my 4 Mini Dachshunds, Sidney, Sabrina, Lucky and Zoey. I also share my home with my husband Tim and our 2 children, Katie and Dylan. When I first met my husband, I already had my Doxie Sidney, my hubby soon fell in love with him and we decided to get a friend for him and named her Sabrina. Before we knew it, we got 2 more . We love Doxies so much that we now breed them. Another rewarding experience for myself. In my spare time, I collect anything Dachshund, Im an avid lover of Disney, love going to Chinese Auctions and spending time with my family. Julie has an Associate Degree in Commercial Art from Bryant and Stratton. She is a canine artist, and also works for a private laboratory full time. She took on two guinea pig sisters and found out they were both pregnant! (Long story!) Mariah had four babies and Alanis had two. They are all such characters. Julie feels she is now a guinea pig expert! She looks forward to getting a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy in the spring, but is enjoying pet sitting and meeting all the different animals! |

Joy B. - Office Staff, Pet Sitter Here is Joy's best friend, Dylan. He earned his Canine Good Citizen title and has been an important part of the SPCA's Paws for Love Program visiting nursing homes for the past year. Joy enjoys pet sitting because of the wonderful animals she gets to visit. She also gets to enjoy working on the phones as she gets to talk to all the wonderful humans they live with! Joy also has a BA in Sociology from Syracuse University. |

Darci S. - Pet Sitter "My name is Darci and I am a part-time pet sitter with Sit n' Stay Pet Services, Inc. I am a full time teacher by day and enjoy pet sitting in my spare time. I got into pet sitting because I love all animals and find it enjoyable walking, talking and playing with them. It is rewarding to be able to make a dog happy with a short walk, playtime or feeding while their owner is away. These are my two dogs. Cricket is my Pomeranian and he is 12 years of age. He loves kayaking, going for short walks and floating in the pool in the summer. Brook is my Lab mix and she is 8 years of age. She enjoys taking long walks, playing with her special toys, going to the farm to run and laying in the backyard watching all the wildlife. They are my precious gems." |

This is Tico-Suave and Vina-Schnitzel, Amanda's roommates. Tico is a 3 year old chihuahua and Vina is a almost 1 year old miniature dachshund. They are the ying and yang of the dog world, they are complete opposites but they love each other. They love playing with anything that's squeaky and anything they can chew on. Vina's favorite pastime is digging, whether it be the couch, carpet, pillow, or bed. It drives her nuts but she still loves her! She also love's looking at herself in the mirror and she loves to watch TV. Tico's favorite pastime is sleeping on Amanda's lap, he's a definite lapdog. Amanda has always loved animals ever since she knew what an animal was. Ever since she could talk whenever she saw a horse or a dog she would scream "horse!!!" or "dog!!!!!!" Amanda started out wanting to be a Marine Biologist but as she got older her love of dogs grew more and more. She went to Medaille for their Veterinary Technician program and half way through she realized that she didn't want to be on the medical side, she just wanted to play and interact with animals. So, when Amanda learned about Sit N' Stay it sounded like a perfect job for her. Amanda says "Everyday my job is to play with dogs all day, or take care of cats, birds, goats, even pigeons! Every day is different and an adventure, it is never boring, and I love it!" |

Patty M. - Pet Sitter This is Bear, Patty's miniature schnauzer who is the love of her life! He is all decked out in his dinosaur costume. Patty became a pet sitter to do what she loves, caring for animals, as a part time job. She has had a love for animals since having her first cat when she was in pre-school. She has always had a pet ever since. Her favorite thing about this job is having the opportunity to meet and care for all different types of animals. Patty also works a full time job with HSBC Bank. |
