The staff of Sit n' Stay is Kim and her husband Tom, along with several wonderful pet sitters they have carefully screened. Sit n' Stay is much different than most pet sitting services in that when you hire Sit n' Stay, you are not hiring an individual, you are hiring a company. We take our company seriously, and we hire only the best sitters.
To find out more about becoming part of our team, please see the Employment Opportunities page.

Kim Sauer, CPDT - Owner, Trainer
Kim started this business back in 2002 after leaving the corporate world. She wanted to spend more time with her true love of not only her own pets, but all animals. Of course, as things got busier, she hardly got to see her own pets again! Luckily they are very forgiving!
Having a dog training background, and understanding pets behavior, has been a great asset to Kim and her staff. In addition to running the company, she is an active dog trainer and enjoys training and working with her rottweiler, Blaze. You can check out the Dog Training page for details.
Kim believes it is very important to be a productive member of the community, so Sit n' Stay takes part in several charity drives and events throughout the year. See the Events page for more information.
Kim says that this business has not left her with much of a personal life, and that she could not have made it this far without the wonderful support of her husband, Tom. When there is time, she loves to travel, scrapbook and just spend time with their dogs. Blaze and Nigel are like her children!

Tom Sauer - Owner
Tom originally thought that this business would be Kim's pet project. Little did he know that just a few months into it, he found himself loving the job! Tom is a natural with all pets and finds that even pets that are typically shy warm up to him immediately. He grew up with cats and dogs, and lived with all sorts of animals such as ferrets, bunnies, and even a tarantula!
Even though Tom currently still has his full time job as a supervisor, Tom loves walking with his clients on a daily basis. When Tom has any free time, he loves to exercise and hang out with his family. When relaxing he likes to hang with his 170 pound mastiff, Nigel, who thinks he's a lap dog! Tom is an avid movie watcher, music lover and sports fanatic! The Sauer household includes Kim and Tom, their two dogs, two cats and a sugar glider.

Lori C. - Southtowns Manager & Senior Pet Sitter
Lori has a BS in Accounting from Canisius College and has completed the Court Reporting program at Alfred State College. While she wishes she could be a pet sitter full time, she does split her time between court reporting and pet sitting. She loves this job because she enjoys visiting so many different pets. They all have a different personality and she learns something new every day. When she does have free time she enjoys learning everything she can about training, health and nutrition for pets. She also fosters dogs at her home on occasion. The dog shown in the picture is Xander, Lori's own reason for wanting to learn so much about training!

"I have three grown children, so Oliver and Paris are now known as my babies!! Oliver is a three year old Chihuahua Min-Pin, who I adopted from a shelter in Pennsylvania last year. Paris is a Chihuahua that I purchased in Florida five years ago. They get along remarkably well, and they are so much fun. I have had larger dogs in the past, but you cannot find more love and affection packed in such tiny bodies as in these two!! I also share my home with my husband and a variety of other pets. I have two cats, two parakeets, two red-eared slider turtles and a variety of fish. Very frequently, my two four-legged "grandchildren" come to visit, Ada and Tesla, both Boston Terriers. Oh, the fun we have with all four dogs running and playing chase!!!
After spending seven years working as a Periodontal Coordinator and nine years previous to that employed in two different Veterinary Hospitals, I have truly found my most rewarding experience. I say experience, because every day is one!! This is not simply a job to me. I absolutely love caring for the large variety of animals that are entrusted to my care while their moms and dads are away."

Victoria W. - Pet Sitter
Victoria graduated in May 2007 from SUNY New Paltz with a B.A. in
Industrial Organizational Psychology and is currently working in Group
Benefits at a local insurance broker. She wanted to petsit because
while obtaining her college degree she worked at a Bed and Breakfast
that allowed pets to vacation with their owners. She knew that she
would miss being surrounded by these friendly dogs, cats, and even
birds every weekend so petsitting was the next best thing. One day,
hopefully soon, she hopes to get a Newfoundland doggie to call her
own. |

Colleen D. - Pet Sitter
I graduated from Canisius College in 2004 with a B.S. in Psychology and Criminal Justice. I decided that starting a career in the animal field was something I was more passionate about, so in 2008 I began on line coursework with the Animal Behavior College to earn my certification as a dog trainer. I completed a 4 month externship at the Lee Mannix Center for Canine Behavior in Austin, TX, and earned my diploma from ABC this year. While living in Austin, I adopted a 1 year old German Shepherd from the Austin German Shepherd Rescue. Her name is Reagan and it was totally worth enduring the 100 degree Texas heat to find her! While in Austin, I did training and kennel work at Mud Puppies Boarding and Playcare facility and was the Senior Dog Caretaker at the Central Texas SPCA. Prior to moving to Austin, I worked for 11 months at Sit n Stay and returned to work immediately after returning to Buffalo. I currently teach puppy and adult obedience classes. I am also the proud mommy to Austin, a 9 year old spoiled rotten cat.
