Kim Sauer, CPDT is the owner of Sit n' Stay Pet Services and a member of the training team at Eagle Ridge Kennels. Please see the details below about Group Training classes in your area!
Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) - Kim became a Certified Pet Dog Trainer in March of 2006. To earn this credential, a trainer has to demonstrate their knowledge and experience in dog training, stay informed of current knowledge in the field, and be familiar with the latest, most effective training techniques and equipment. Trainers must maintain their credential through continuing education such as workshops, conferences, and hands-on seminars for professional dog trainers. They also adhere to a strict Code of Ethics.
When you choose a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, you can be confident that you are working with a professional who has the knowledge and expertise to make your investment in dog training safe, effective, and even fun! Certified Pet Dog Trainers have dog training skills as well as instructor skills to enhance the experience and success for you and your pet dog.
AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator - Kim became an evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen program in 2005. Classes are held at Eagle Ridge Kennels for the Canine Good Citizen Program. See below for class details.
Started in 1989, CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. Any breed of dog or any mixed breed may take the test.
ABC Certified Dog Trainer & ABC Mentor Trainer - Kim earned her diploma from Animal Behavior College in January 2002 and became an ABC Certified Dog Trainer. After several years of experience, in 2006 Kim became an ABC Mentor Trainer and is now helping others to realize their dream of becoming a dog trainer!
SPCA Enrichment and Training Coordinator- Because she wasn't busy enough, Kim took on this part time role with the SPCA of Erie County! The Enrichment Program helps the dogs to stay mentally and physically enriched while being at the shelter. We want the dogs to be happy and maintain their home skills during their stay. Check out the shelter website for more information, or come in and visit us and see our Five Star Guest Program! The website for the Erie County SPCA is www.spcaec.com.

Whether you are having a baby, soon to be grandparents or adopting, this class is for you! Only $15 per couple, this class held once a month at the Tonawanda SPCA will teach you everything you need to know about getting your pets ready to meet the new little ones.
